Demons shooting lights out in 1st half....4/8 for 3s vs UCA 0/3 and that is pretty much the difference....
With 4:34 left NWS leads 33-23....need to hang tough and maybe Demon shooting will subside....

NWS 38
UCA 30
Made a small surge in last minute to close from 12 to 8....have not played well but this game is not out of reach....got to come out strong with enthusiam...
Miles and Rutledge each have 8 to lead Bears....
Game difference is NWS 3s...4 vs UCA's 0....other than that stats are very close...

Bears closed to 5-6 a couple fo times but cannot get over the hump...NWS leads 75-63 with 1:28 to go.....

FINAL
NWA 38-41=79
UCA 30-38=68
Just could not get back after falling behind in 1st half...tried to make runs and cut to 5-6 several times. At the end of the day, NWS had 7 3s while the Bears had ZERO....hard to make up that 21 points....plus NWS shot 67% from 2s (UCA shot 54%) ....won FTs by 12-4 with 60% shooting.... both teams had too many TOs (17 to 19).... NWS had 9 blocks to Bears 2....
Miles was 20/5.....Rutledge had 12....Garner had 9/10 night....
Coach: Got off to a good start...Demons played hard and very physical....they are well coached and a good team.....we have got to be more consistent....we turned ball over way too much....have to bring best game on Sat vs UTA for a win....
Next:
UTA at FC starting at 4pm

I was at the game last night. It is really hard to describe this teams play. If
I could sum it up in one word it would be...let me think, ok yeah that's it, uh
uh, uh...is that the right word?, maybe not, let's see, you know that's what I
meant to say, uh, duh, maybe not...I'll get back to you Gene!!!
