Just discovered that the womens basketball championship will be on FSN at 3 p.m. today (Sat) and the mens basketball championship will be Sunday at 1 p.m. on ESPN II.

I will get up from my nap for both of these.

NW St could end up with as high as #13 seed and the Kats should be as high as a #14 considering the RPI boost they'd get from beating a top 70 RPI program in NW St...

Should be a packed house and a reminder why campus sites works so well for the SLC tournament...

Northwestern State was impressive today.

Although, Sam made a couple of runs, I was impressed with the Demon's depth. They were bring six to seven off the bench.

Hope they do well in the big dance.

NW ST has the second most seniors in Div I basketball (to Colorado)...

SHSU graduates just one, though while an all-SLC performer, I think we'll be alright...Kats will be back!

Call me crazy, and obviously some will. But with their depth and athleticism, I can see NW St. beating Iowa in the 1st round. Am I confident enough in this to actually predict them winning that game...not yet, but with the non conference games NW St played and won, they have the talent and resume to pull it off...

As a side note totally unrelated to NW St.'s NCAA tournament run, I guess the athletic department will have to spend a few dollars to get new southland conference logos to put on our court.

SLC logos, signage, updated parts of the media guide that haven't been updated in ages, throw some SLC-love on the web site, etc...
