All SLC wins come over lower level teams BUT they held NWS to only 73 at Natch. That should get our attention that they can play defense.
SLC Stats
Kats have +5 scoring margin while UCA is <7>. Bears outscore Sam 76-66 but give up a problematic 83 while Kats hold opponents to only 61. Edge to Kats.
In shooting...
UCA v Sam
FGs: 47% v 39%...Bears certainly have shot better 3s: 36% v 31%...need to free Craford u for good shots....maybe the key to the game FTs: 65% v 74%...edge to Kats FG defense: 47% v 40%...edge to Kats 3s defense: 42% v 28%...edge to Kats Reb margin: <1> v +4..edge to Kats Blocks: +3 to UCA TO margin: <5> v +1....got to even this out
Sam has no player in Top 15 scorers which means they have pretty balanced attack. UCA's Crawford is #5 at 17 (64% FGs; 50% 3s) and Garner is #12 at 14.
Kats have two Top 15 in rebounding leaders with Terrance Motley at 7 boards and Michael Holyfield wiith 6. No Bears.
This is a winnable game but no margin of safety...have to reb better, limit the TOs and get shooters open for good shots and play better defense without gving up 35 FTs...tall order on the road....be a great time to get over the Hump...a track meet game plays to our strengths...
