Cowboys have their moments this season. Three straight OC wins over Louisiana-Lafayette (USL to us old guys), La Teach and Texas Tech....then escaped on 1/10 witha 75-71 home win over TAMCC. No doubt they will come to Conway ready for another Bears v Cowboys match up. SLC winn over TAMCC and Lamar (2-16/0-6) this past weekend by 74-50 with losses to NWS, SFA and Sam and a 54-53 home loss to Nicholls.

Crawford and Garner (#3 SLC at 86% FTs) are in Top 9 SLC scorers and MSU has no one in Top 15....

Kevin Hardy is #6 SLC with 7 rebs while Garner is at 6 pg...

Ledrick Eckles is tied with Crawford at #6 SLC for 3s% at 42%...

Appears to be pretty well matched so Bears need to take full advantage of home court to get this win which is there for them. Build on the TAMCC game finish (won last H decisively). A track meet probably plays in our favor.

Regulation ends 78-78 after a last second 3 by Garner from midcourt.....42-42 at half...Bears led a by four later but Cowboys fought back..then Bears played a smart last 5 seconds and Garner got the big bucket to force OT....

Into OT #2 as Garner hits ANOTHER 3 this time with 4.3 seconds left to tie at 86.....he now has 32/7..... Miles has 23/3 with 10 assists.....

Now to OT #3 tied 94-94.....Bears led 92-86 adn McNeese took a big risk of a long 3 to get over our very good defense and hit it to close t 92-89...had they missed the game would have basically been over as the would have to foul to get ball back.....risk take and return achieved....MSU then scratched out a 94-92 lead ...Borden missed two FTs but then got an inbounds pass for a basket to tie and go to another OT....

Coach can hand out lots of gold stars and and purple ice cream tonight...Bears may have learned how to win as a team...give a huge shout out to Jarvis Garner not only for a 38/15 DD but also for TWO 3s to tie at end of regulation and end of OT #1.....

Borden...14/8 and some big plays in OT...

Give these guys kudos for fighting back late in H1 to tie at 42 then pushing in H2 to keep pressure on McNeese...then the OT play was very good.....they did get the lead each time and let it slip away in #1 and #2 but not in #3 and put it away....

Attendance >2700 per Monty....

PS - Bears were leading scorers among all D1 teams tonight...of course, they were also #1 in points allowed....
