Tip at 4pm
Lamar (2-/17/0-7) UCA (7-10/2-5)
Last games...
Lamar lost on road to ORU by 91-74 while Bears outlasted MSU in 3 OTs by 103-98...
SLC only stats...
UCA v LU
Beasr avg 76 while Cards only 57.....UCA gives up 80 and LU 75...bottom two in SLC.....advantage UCA...
UCA leads in FG% by 45% to 40%.....both avg about 45% FG defense..advantage UCA
UCA leads in 3s % at 36%-32%....however, LU holds opponents to 32% while UCA at 40%......Beasr make 7 pg while LU only 2...adv Bears
Both at about 66% FT%.... and about even on reb margin.....Bears need to win this area...
Bears have <2> TO margin while LU at <7>....advantage UCA but needs to be solid + for Bears.. and avoid easy fastbreak baskets for LU who need help scoring...
LU has no scorer in SLC Top 15 while Garner (#2 SLC FTs at 88%)and Crawford both in Top 10...adv Bears
Stan Brown avgs 7 rebs as does Garner for UCA....
Bears are the better team and are home ...plus they are getting their "swagger" as Monty would say.... this would be a great time to out a full game together to see how that works....

FINAL
Lamar 29-30=59 (2-18/0-8) UCA 52-36=88 (8-10/3-5)
UCA v LU
FGs: 39% v 32%... Bears were 32 of 82...yes, 82 FG attempts!! 3s: 36% v 50% ...Bears 10/28 FTs: 78% v 77% Rebs: 47 v 45 TOs: 12 v 25.....usually +15 in TOs makes a big difference...
Very balanced scoring...four in double figures ...Q led with 12/4 and Crawford, Williams and Padgett each had 10...three others at 7-8...12 Bears scoreed.... starters only avg 15 minutes of ppalying time today...good to get others court time for experience...
This should have been no surprise how Bears won but in past few years they have struggled in games like this...not today.....congrats on the win to the guys.....
Enjoy and relax then get ready for SELA.....Thursday nigth at FC with tip at 7:30pm
