Bears trailed ACU 36-28 at half with a lackluster game but ACU really only led as they were +7 on FTs vs Bears........Howard and Foreman each had 11 at half but not much else from others.......forced 12 TOs but could only get 6 points off.........

Bears fall to ACU by 62-61 as Howard missed winning jump shot at buzzer. Played much much better in last 12 minutes after falling behind by 14. Howard had 18, Foreman and Kamba sparked the rally with 10, all in H2. ACU was +5 for FTs for thw inning edge. Zuilhof was only 2/9 in the game and 0-6 down the stretch........

Coach still sounded pretty pleased with the H2 effort..............

Let a winnable game get away............... hope they learn from this to play both halfs from start to finish and not get behind so much.........

Next up is at TAMCC.............

We put bits and pieces of games together, but have a hard time putting it ALL together. Hope the guys can come around.

Thought I heard Coach say they used a matchup zone in H2 that he used at Arizona and it was important reason we got back in the game.....if so, that would be step forward to play that defense type successfully........

Bears trail 45-43 at half........Howard has 21 on 6/8 FGs (4/4 for 3) and 5/5 FTs........Kamba has 8 and Zuilhof is about on track for a double double.........team stats very close.......

Good job so far.........

Islanders come out hot, build H2 lead on 3s then coast to 94-82 win over Bears. Jordan Howard puts up 36 on 10/14 FGs and 10/10 FTs.........plus 7 rebs....Zuilhof ends with 10 rebs.......Brooks puts up 15/7 and Kamba 17/3.......Bears shoot 50% FGs and 3s .however while Bears hit 7/14 3s, TAMCC hit 14/31 and that was really the major difference.......Bears also had 17 TOs to only 10 for TAMCC which did not help.......

Coach seemed happy with effort.......feels TAMCC is a serious contender for SLC and is almost all seniors on court......saw improvement tonight..........Kamba played much more aggressive..........

Thinks we can play with anyone in SLC......

Next up is Lamar in FC on Saturday at 4pm........Cardinals will press a lot.......

Know it was a loss, but truly believe that slowly but surely things are coming together....it is just taking a bunch of time.

Totally agree..........TAMCC looks to be a pretty good team with lots of experience....we hung in with them well except the first 5-6 minutes of H2 and that was fatal...but they kept slugging away........if we would have stopped the H2 opening run a minute or so sooner there is no telling what may have happened the rest of the way.........Howard had an exceptional game and Kamba again showed he has lots of potential........we only had 8 players available to play and that played into minutes on the floor and some fatigue.........there are few Megan Herberts who can play 40 minutes every game and be strong at end of game..........hope Bears play well Sat vs Lamar and get a win...........
