NCAA RPIs in parens:

First Round:

UCA (223) @Seattle (166) **, 92-90 OT

UT-Rio Grande Valley (229) @ New Orleans (239), 74-77
Eastern Washington ( 122) @ Utah Valley (83), 65-87
Colgate (188) @ San Francisco (139) **, 68-72
Miami (Ohio) (159) @ Campbell (267), 87-97
North Texas (235) @ South Dakota (91), 90-77
Mercer (174) @ Grand Canyon (156) **, 78-73
Jacksonville State (149) @ Canisius (216) **, 80-78, OT

Anyone know how these first games are seeded? How does UNO with the 2nd highest RPI get a home game? How does Miami end up on road vs opponent with an RPI 100+ higher?
** are very long trips

The season comes to an end with an 80-59 loss to Jacksonville State! This program will be forever indebted to these seniors, Jordan Howard, Ethan Lee, and Mathieu Kamba!

Jacksonville State @ UCA

Looks like JSU played up to their RPI and so did the Bears..........
almost 2600 came out for the game........good to see Ethan end with a nice game........

JSU 42-38=80 (23-12)
UCA 30-29=59 (18-17)

JSU/UCA

FGs: 45% v 41%
3s: 44% v 23%.....JSU made 5 more 3s
FTs: 84% v 57%.only got to line 7x....
Rebs: 38 v 32
TOs: 11 v 15

Too few rebounds....too many TOs......did not get to the line nearly enough........shot 50% for 2s but could not hit enough 3s........JSU =12 fast break points........seems we just got beat.........

Howard held to 15/1/4............Kamba 10/2/4...........Ethan a nice night at 6/4/2 and a block.......Koval 7 and Deandre and tanner each had 6.......

Sorry to see the season end but lots of accomplishments.........best wishes to our seniors who have been troopers............now on to getting ready for next season.....Go Bears!!!

Heck of a game by JSU. Got to give them credit. They shot 52% field goals in the first half and 50% from the 3 point line in the first half. Big time 3 pointers sank late in the second half when UCA was within 7. EVERYTHING was falling for them it seemed in the first half. Fade aways, off balance, last second, everything...

They deserved that win. We were COLD in the first half. Just too much to make up in the second half.

Luckily the game was at UCA last night. Here's what's left of the JSU arena:
