SHS@UCA
SHS 33-49=82 (4-2) UCA 42-47=89 (4-2)
SHS/UCA
FGs: 41% v 44% 3s: 38% v 39%...made 11 and 10 FTs: 68% v 87% …..Bears +15 made....33/38 Rebs: 28 v 47 TOs: 9 v 22
Rebs and FT shooting saved this one as Bears had 22 TOs....Jones had a excellent 33/7 (although also 7 TOs) including 6/11 3s and 13/16 FTs....Bergerson was 21/7 with 9/10 FTs....Kayouloud a solid 10/5....nice home win....still....gave up 49 in H2.....Bears trailed by 6 in H1 then finished with 17-8 run to take lead into half...Kats then tied 52-52 at 5 minute mark in H2 ….took a 1 pt lead with 12 to go...and stretched to 5 with 6 to go.....Bears went on 8-3 run to tie then took the lead for good...……..and finished out 13-6.....good to have 9 made FTs to end game....
Tall task Wed at home vs SFA then onto Nicholls for the Sat game....really need to win at least one....Go Bears!!

So, I’ve been following UCA MBB from afar over the past 8 years. It’s obvious that they play a lot of money games and usually get beat. They’ve turned a bit of a corner in league play in the last couple of seasons. However, if you are a recruit, would you want to play that type of schedule every year and thereby almost guaranteeing a losing record year after year. Plus, how do you recruit to a losing record year after year. Not saying you need to play Hendrix every non-conference game but something with a little balance. Again, I’m nowhere near the program anymore but it sure seems like MBB is being fed to the wolves. Anyone know why such a tough schedule? Is money the only reason?

SFA@UCA
SFA 37-40=77 (5-1) UCA 37-39=76 (4-3)
SFA/UCA
FGs: 54% v 46% 3s: 44% v 37%..Jacks made 12 and Bears 11 FTs: 33% v 73% Rebs: 34 v 35 TOs: 17 v 16
What a game.....too bad DeAndre sidelined....solid rebounding.....SFA +9 off TOs was really the difference....Bergerson had another excellent game with 19/4/4 and >50% FGs....Kayouloud also an excellent game with a 17/10 double double...Weidenaar added 16.....Koval had 8 but not sure why he was shooting 6 3s.....
Bears have so much upside.....this would have been a signature win but still should show what they are capable of doing....
Now to go to Nicholls and take this level play with them.....Go Bears!!

Really tough loss, hopeful that the team can rebound strong.

The team has obviously responded well to Coach Boone and the return of DeAndre has been a difference maker as well. Too bad he couldn't go last night...Bears might have got the win.
After a horrible start to the season, they have stuck together and are playing much better...so happy for the team.

UCA@Nicholls
UCA 43-29=72 (4-4) NSU 30-49=79 (6-2)
UCA/NSU
FGs: 46% v 47% 3s: 52% v 46% FTs: 69% v 81% Rebs: 31 v 36 TOs: 14 v 9
Colonels +6 on 2 pt FGs and +4 FTs and that was enough to win...hard to lose a 13-pt H1 lead but this happens every night across the nation.....Colonels +10 POTO..... Bears had a modest 14 but NSU took better advantage of.....D=Andre back in the line up and has a 26/7/7A game......Bergerson added 12 and Koval was 11/6/4B.....Baker also had 11...…
Next up are ACU and SLU at the FC...need to win those...…….Go Bears!!
