I wish I could say we have some games coming up that are winnable but looking at those numbers there is no pattern of success or failure. It almost looks like we live by or die by one or two game plans. Maybe the 3s?

Most of these were played with Jones on injured list.....all were winnable without him (except maybe SFA)...with more consistency they literally could be 10-0 in SLC play.....at least 8-2...….they shoot 3s better than SugarBears but seem to be pretty good from the stripe when they drive the paint a lot....pretty good rebounding….if they can play into the SLC tourney they could get hot and get to finals with their talent....

FTs: 65% v 44% … Bears +16 made....way to get to the line
Rebs: 51 v 36.....wow
TOs: 12 v 18..much better

Big comeback after a very slow start.....H1 was close until about 10 minute mark then Demons go on 23-12 run to close out half...…Bears immediately in H2 started chipping away and my 10 minute mark had tied.....still tied at 4:32 mark after some back and forth.....Koval hits a big 3 with 3:16 left for a 5 pt lead and Demons never got closer as Bears hit 9/10 FTs in last minute.....Kayouloud led scorers with 18/9 game.....Bergerson excellent at 15/12 with 6 assists.....Jones added 13 and Shittu tossed in 12....Koval solid at 8/9/2Bs....rebounding, FTs and defense made it possible in H2....good road win to get above 500....

A couple more big road games vs Lamar and McNeese next week...1-1 really needed at worst....Go Bears!!

Whew! just got home. I was the one and only bear fan in the stands. When coach Boone heard that he had me in the locker room to share in the celebration. Some of the demon fans were kind of laughing at me in the first half but got quiet quickly when we cut into the lead so fast

Good job to go on the road.....maybe you need to do that from now on out….

Pretty evenly played games except Bears only got to the line 8x.....Jones did not even shoot a FT until 3:02 remaining....that sounds like a Bears' problem and not officiating...all the starters in double figures.....Koval led with 14/7...Jones had 12....Bergerson and Kayouloud each added 11...…...

H1: Bergerson and Chatham lead with 7 each. Neither tea shooting 3s well but Lamar is +5 FTs as Bears are only 1/1. Need to get the line more. UCA is +2 rebs but has 6 more TOs than the Cards...need to clean that up.

Big win to get +2 in SLC play with 4 to go......make it hard having to come from way back to win...…….Bergerson on fire recently with 21 on 67% FGs and 75% FTs......Jones excellent game at 20/6As and 50% shooting…..Koval another double double at 10/11/2Bs.....Kayouloud, Chatham and Weidenaar each had 5 rebs

Next is SHS at Huntsville on Sat…….big chore but winnable with a solid game..Go Bears!!

This team is putting together a nice run in conference play. I'm happy to see this with all that has gone on this season.

Koval had a terrific 22/10 and Kayouloud a nice 16/5......Weidenaar scored 10 in only 17 minutes and fouled out….Jones had 11 assists but could only score 2....starters had 15 TOs and no one less than 2.....SHS pretty solid team at 10-5/17-9...…

Now off to SFA for rematch on Wed with SLC leader and a fine team….......never know.....Go Bears!!

SFA +20 in H1 mostly because Bears could not buy a bucket.....Rylan Bergerson had no points at half playing with two fouls but then 19 in H2....Chatham was a nice 13/4 and Kayouloud added 12...…

Now to finish out season with some wins and get a good tourney spot.....Go Bears!!

Bears got after the Colonels today (hope the SBs stuck around to watch this one and see how it is done) …...Bergerson led with 25/6 game with Koval close behind at 21/7/3Bs....Chatham came off the bench for a terrific 12/10 double double…

Huge win over one of the SLC's top teams.....got to 10 wins on the season......really helped tourney chances.....three more to go ..no mid week game this week so next is a tough ACU team on the road Sat and a winnable game at Hammond and finish at home vs Demons...…….lots left to play for and Bears having been playing very well........how about win out?

Best half of basketball this year,important win.Bergeson can get to the bucket just about every time. Very nice to see Thatch Unruh in attendance. Noticed that Acri interviewed him at the half.Oh ,one more thing, teams are clamping down on DJ. Not giving him room to get off much

Ditto re Thatch......hope everyone doubles DJ......Bergeson and Koval are coming on and someone has to be open plus Kayouloud and Chatham have shown they can get to the hoop.......that was one of the best halves in a decade or more.....
