In one final poll of the 2006 Div. 1 volleyball season, the SugarBears finished at 217 out of 325. 4 Southland opponents were ranked lower. Final season record was 19-17 and 7-9 in conference. Did qualify for post season (7th out of 12) but could not go due to transition period. Tulsa, ranked 74, was the highest ranked team that UCA defeated this year. Stephen F. was the highest ranked Southland team at #49. Nebraska finished the year right where they started at #1. If you watched the championship last week, you know why. Only the 3rd team in NCAA history to go wire to wire #1.

Good job SugarBears VB on a fine first season at D1. I think the future looks good for them.
