Weynand, Curl Named Southland Volleyball Players of the Week
Offensive Player of the Week - Jessica Weynand, Texas State
Weynand, a native of Brenham, Texas, had just two attack errors all week as she averaged 3.57 kills per set and led Texas State to wins over league rivals Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and UTSA. She hit .444 on 13 kills in a 3-1 win over the Islanders, and came up big again with 12 kills and eight digs in a sweep over the Road Runners to give the Bobcats their fourth straight win.

Defensive Player of the Week - Cristin Curl, Central Arkansas
Curl, a native of Amarillo, Texas, took over the Southland digs lead by averaging 5.71 per set in a pair of wins. On Tuesday against Oral Roberts, she came up with 18 digs in a three-set sweep and on the road at McNeese State, she tied a career-high with 22 digs in four sets. For the season, Curl is averaging 4.63 digs per set and is tied for second overall with 227 on the season.
