FRISCO, Texas - Sam Houston State juniors Carli Kolbe and Kim Black were named offensive and defensive players of the week respectively, by vote of the Southland Conference sports information directors Monday. The Bearkat duo are the first team sweep of the weekly awards this season marking the fourth by Sam Houston in the last two seasons, the most among league teams.
