University of Central Arkansas senior Chloe Smith is one of 30 NCAA women's volleyball student-athletes to be named a candidate for the first-ever Lowe's Senior CLASS Award. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence – community, classroom, character and competition.

Sometimes I think we forget that Chloe isn't from Arkansas. Or Texas. Or anywhere we'd normally recruit. (In fact, I think she kind of recruited us.) We're very fortunate to have a player of her caliber on our team.

The good news is that the winning we've been doing thanks in part to her is only going to entice others of her talent level to give us a shot.
