Time for all of us to put Saturday on the afterburner. Focus on the here and now. The final two home matches are upon us. It all starts Thursday at 7 against Lamar. We win , we clinch the SLC East. Then Saturday, last home match of the season at 1 against McNeese State. Final home match for the two Chloes. We have send them out in style. I expect a huge crowd at the Prince Center. I will be there for sure at my section. Yeah your last chance to get free smoothies. Only 100 smoothies to give away so here is your chance starting Thursday. Be decked out in Purple. Bring family and friends and cheer on your Sugar Bears! Always remember one thing: PURPLE REIGNS AT THE PRINCE!!! See you guys Thursday and Saturday! :D

Sugar Bears prepare for final home games

Quote:
The Sugar Bears currently have a home win streak of 26 and Coach Steven McRoberts said he hopes to continue that streak with two more wins.
“It’s been great playing at home this season,” he said. “We have had great crowds and to be able to have such a long home win streak has made this season a lot of fun. We feel like we have the best crowd in the southland Conference. It definitely helps us keep producing.”
The Sugar Bears have already played the Lady Cardinals and the Cowgirls earlier this season. The Sugar Bears defeated both teams on the road. They swept the Lady Cardinals 3-0 on Oct. 14 and then defeated the Cowgirls 3-1 on Oct. 16. McRoberts said he wants the team to build off of the success it has already experienced earlier this season from playing both the Lady cardinals and Cowgirls, and build upon that success going into the both of the matches.
“We just want to work a little more on our execution,” he said. “We just want to keep trying to improve during practice and in matches in order to get ready for the tournament.”
