I don't know the scores, but I do know it is going to the 5th set...again! I do think that UCA is perfect this season in games that go to 5!

We drop set #5 and fall to 1-1 in SLC play.

I know she had knee surgery last week and won't be able to play for at least 3 weeks, I think she will redshirt this this year.

That's horrible for her, but at least she will get a redshirt. Thanks for the info!

Can she still get a medical redshirt having played so much of the season? I'm not sure on the rules but I thought it was a percentage of the season.

If she can it might actually work out in ya'lls favor. I know it has twice for SHSU. This year we have a fifth year senior setter who got hurt her junior season. This year we have a good group of expirenced players to go along with her. If last year had been her last year we would probably have a freshman setter trying to lead the team. In 09 we had a fifth year senior middle who got hurt her freshman year and she lead our team to an 11 match win streak and the #2 seed in the SLC tourney (I believe that was the last year ya'll weren't eligible for the tournament).

I know your team loses Curl but you bring back the rest of your starters next year and they will all have another year of expirence to compliment Hays. I also think this is the last year we have to deal with UTSA, TXST and UTA. All good teams, though I'm sure the conference will have to add someone.

I think that the criteria to be eligible for a medical redshirt is that the player participated in no more than 20% of the season's games. As long as she played in no more than 6 matches (which I'm pretty sure she didn't) she can be redshirted.
