SBs really put it own UAPB on Saturday............. Tippett's slams were awesome.......Lions key players basically players from Canada....

Volleyball now 11-4 on the season and 1-1 in SLC play............saw them against UAPB and they looked to have promise but Lions looked to have a number of new players (several from Canada) and were not really in sync..........

Ended pre-SLC schedule 10-3 with wins over:

The road loss sweep to SFA was tough way to open but the games were very close....24-26.........22-25......25-27......actually very close match

The home win Tuesday night vs Southeastern was more like it with a sweep by 25-14, 25-15 and 25-18........

Big home matches Thursday vs TTAMCC and on Saturday vs HBU.......

Hope to be able to catch another match or two .........

Barnburner at The Prince tonight...........VolleyBears finally wear the islanders down to move to 2-1/12-4....wins 3-1 but close call.......

Shooting about the same overall but V-Bears took control in #4 with a 353 to 125 edge.....Bailey Waddington had 51 assists!!! Savannah Allen had 15 kills and Samantha Anderson added 14.........

SugarBears cruise over HBU by 3-0 in undefeated 3-game home stand....

Hit an awesome .739 in 2nd game.....and .324 for the match..........Waddington another 34 assists, Doss had 20 digs and Tippett and Allen both had double digit kills..........

Now 3-1/13-4.....now onto the road with games at Northwestern State, Southeastern and Incarnate Word...........Go VolleysBears!!

This team is really taking shape and playing well together!
Up to 15-4 (5-1) with the lone conference loss to SFA who is crazy good again.
One more game on the road before facing SFA in the Prince on 10-16!

VolleyBears take care of Incarnate Word by 25-7, 25-18 and 25-19 for 3-0 win. Outhit Cardinals 481 to 191.........Hailey Tippett leads with 16 kills and 462 hitting...plus 12 digs.......

Now 6-1/16-4........SFA next but at The Prince on Tuesday night at 6pm

VolleyBears battle but fall short 1-3 vs SFA at The Prince tonight............23-25, 19-25, 25-20 and 23-25

UCA shoots only 158 but SFA only 169.....one stat difference was UCA had 30 shooting errors and SFA only 23.......

Haley Tippett had another solid match with 22 kills, and 16 digs....Bailey Waddington added 30 assists and Emily Doss 18 digs.......

Put this behind and win final 8 and get a good shot at SFA again in the tourney....next up is Nicholls State is Thursday night at home starting at 6pm........

VBs whip Nicholls State 3-0 with wins of 25-14, 25-19 and 25-20..........hit a hot 422.....Kellen Dunn led with 15 kills hitting 583 while Bailey Waddington had 36 assists........Samantha Anderson hit 467 and Savannah Allen close behind at 429.....now 7-2/17-5...

Last match of home stand Sat at noon.........

VBs go 2-1 on the home stand by beating UNO today 3-0..........25-12, 25-23 and 25-23.......shot only 266 but held UNO to 143........Haley Tippett had 15 kills and Samantha Anderson tallied 13...........Bailey Waddington gave 41 assists.......

Now 8-2/18-5..........4th in SLC behind SFA in 1st and SHS/ACU tied for 2nd....

At Lamar next Thur then at McNeese on Sat................need to get these road wins to keep pace with top of pack........

VolleyBears take match at Lamar by 3-0 with game wins of 26-24, 25-21 and 25-16........shot only 220 but held Cards to only 140.........Allen and Dunn has double digit kills and Waddington had 33 digs...........now 9-2/19-5....

Cowgirls win first game 25-17 the VolleyBears took care of business 25-20, 25-17 and 25-23 to take the match, 3-1. Now 10-2/20-5............another off game shooting with only 228 but again held other team to anemic 169.....Samantha Anderson had 20 kills and Savannah Allen and Kellen Dunn each had 12 ...Elizabeth Armstrong has 33 assists.......Emily Doss had 17 digs.......

Now back to The Prince next week for ACU and Sam Houston State..........Go VolleyBears!!!
