Drop Game 1 to Presbyterian by 3-1 but came back tonight to defeat SIU-E 3-2 by coming from down 1-2.

Shot unbelievably low 072 tonight but still won somehow...SIUE shot only 144....Emily Doss had 31 digs....Bailey Waddington had 25 assist and Elizabeth Armstrong 23....Lexi Miller had 16 kills but 10 errors to lead in kills but shot only 130...SIUE had 15 blocks vs only 6 for SBs....

Play Game 3 Sat t 1:30pm vs Purdue-Ft Wayne....Go SugarBears!!

Dropped Game 3 by 3-2 to PFW Mastadons…..really...letting mastadons play does not seem fair....

SLC Home Opener vs HBU, 9/26

SBs fall to 0-1/6-8 with a 3-1 loss.....19-25, 22-25, 25-22 and 23-25.....just got started too late....

Madie Bowles shot a terrific 519 on 27 shots with zero errors....

Got to get back at it on Sat vs Sam Houston State at The Prince....Go SugarBears!!

Another hard fought loss...…. need to right the ship with some SLC wins...……


SBs fall 2-3...…….27-29, 25-18, 17-25, 25-22, 13-15

Very even stats...…….each team took 154 shots.....SBs made one more error and Sam made one more kill...….SBs had 3 more service errors...little things add up...

Madi Bowles had another standout game.....shot 483 with 16 kills, 4 blocks and 3 digs..

Abbie Harry led with 20 kills...…...Emily Doss had 20 digs...…….

Now 0-2/6-9......hit the road next week to south Texas for matches vs Incarnate Word and TAMCC......Go SugarBears!!

SBs pull out a close one 3-2 ……….22-25, 21-25, 25-21, 25-13, 15-13.....from down 2 …...a little too exciting....

UCA outhit the Cards 252 v 220......overcame 11 UIW blocks….. great night with +8 on service aces but offset that with being down 7 on service errors....great hustle with 54 digs and a +12 advantage....

Another exceptional match for Madi Bowles.....23 kills and only one error for a 688 hitting %....Emily Doss leads with 11 digs...….Abbe Harry was a "10"....10 kills, 10 digs and 10 errors.....Amari Mitchell also on fire hitting with 8 kills and 615 hitting %....Lexi Miller added 16 kills

Now 1-2/7-9....

Next is Sat @TAMCC starting at 1pm...Go SugarBears!!

Nice to come from behind and get the win! As much as the team is dealing with injuries, any win is a good one!

Nice to get a win.....3-2 over Cowgirls......25-18, 13-25, 25-23, 23-25, 16-14.....what happened in that 2nd game? Guess when you get outhit 263 v 206 you just take the win and get ready for next match....

Madi Bowles led with 344 hitting on 15 kills...…..Abbie Harry had 22 kills but 11 errors to hit only 175.....Bailey Waddington had 32 assists.....Emily Doss had 24 digs...

Now 2-3/8-10.....

Off to NOLA for UNO on Sat then home next week for Northwestern State...Go VolleyBears!!

VolleyBears just not in sync as we are used to...…….win first game 25-19 then drop three straight 25-22, 25-22 and 26-24......out shot UNO 240 to 178 ….more kills and fewer errors....+6 margin on blocks.....but got out served as UNO had a +8 service ace margin.....

Madi Bowles had another good hitting night at 357 with 12 kills...…..Kailee Moon hits 357 with 7 kills...…..Waddington had 29 assists and Doss 24 digs.....

Now 2-4/8-11...…...need a big crowd Tuesday at The Prince vs Northwestern State...Go VolleyBears!!

Yeah, it's been rough so far. There have been several injuries to key players and they've had to do a lot of adjusting on the fly.

Northwestern State comes tot own and takes 3-1 win back home.....25-27,25-19, 22-25 and 22-25....VolleyBears had +16 shots and +8 kills but <9> errors....and <4> service aces...

10/17 @Lamar

Big 3-0 road win to stop the skid.....25-23, 25-16 and 25-13......now only 1/2 game behind Cards….Madi Bowles shot a phenomenal 632 with 12 kills and NO errors....Amanda Beaton also excellent at 500 with 13 kills and no errors....

Now 4-4/9-12...next is SFA at The Prince on 10/24......

SFA will be tough, even at The Prince. They currently lead the SLC @7-0. Sugar Bears will have to play great, but they can do it!

Jacks win in a 3-0 sweep...…….25-18, 25-14 and 26-24......they are 9-0/21-1 for a good reason.....VolleyBears outhit 300 to 121.....actually +5 on kills but <17> on errors and <10> on blocks....Armstrong and Waddington each had 17 assists for UCA....
