That's just like an ASU fan to skip over basketball season and forget about the rest of football season already.

And you call yourself a fan. [-X [-X

Basketball??? You mean the Lady Indians?? I haven't forgotten. Seriously, we do have some talent on the men's team as well and hopefully we can turn it around.

I just mentioned baseball because we are actually playing you guys and the world did not end today when you showed up on the official schedule.

That's too bad for ASU's baseball team then.

With the new competition, I know even less than what I did last season about baseball - and that was not very much.

There will be a battle inside the battle.

Matt Warren (UCA dh/inf) and Josh Yates (ASU dh/c) grew up as neighbors and were high school team mates in San Antonio Tx at Alamo Heights High School. Both were two time All Staters at AHHS and led their school to consecutive district championships, being defeated once in two years of district competition. Yates led the city in home runs and was recruited by D-1 programs, originally signing with Texas Tech. Yates left Tech after a single semester and became a juco all-american at Wabash Valley in Illinois before signing with ASU as a junior. Yates led ASU offensively last year, earning Sun Belt All Conference honors and third team All American. Drafted in the 42nd round by Cleveland, Yates elected not to sign and returns for his final year of eligibility at ASU. Warren signed with UCA where he earned GSC West Co-Freshman of the year honors, as well as All Conference honors as a junior. Though Warren and Yates have been summer league team mates since departing for their respective college careers and remain close friends, both are tough competitors and will no doubt be looking for their best game in these contests, as this will be the first time since little league that they have opposed one another. Wow, thanks for the info. Another good reason to beat ASU.

It's hard to believe that baseball season isn't far off. It feels like football just started.

Can't believe we scheduled ASU! We have everything to lose and nothing to gain when we put a Bear beating on those (NCAA hostile/abusive) ASU Indians.
