I'll be there Sunday with a radio plugged into my ears, but I'll be watching some Wampus Cats on Saturday.

well...since its for a state title, I guess we'll let it slide this one time on Saturday!

as for our weekend preview, not sure how the rotation will stack up since Pritchett got the start last night. I might be inclined to say Cloud, Price and Whitaker in some order, but I'm not going to guess at this point.

Hope he'll be 100% for the series this weekend. Wonder if his parents are going to make it for the last hurrah?

It was a fun game to walk to. The outs that CC did make sounded like hard hits for the most part.
The bottom of the lineup really came through today.

And apparently Graham's mom and grandmother were listing.

It's a good start for senior weekend. Hopefully they can take the momentum into tomorrow.

Way to go Matt...Go Bears!!

From ucasports.com

Junior righthander Matt Whitaker became the school's career strikeout leader Friday in leading the University of Central Arkansas Bears to a 13-3 victory over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in Southland Conference baseball action.

Whitaker, from Little Rock, struck out Paul Saville in the top of the eighth inning for his 184th career strikeout, passing David Wright in the record book. Whitaker struck out 10 batters in the game, giving him 102 for the season, 11 short of breaking the single-season mark.

Congrats to Matt. He'll also have another year to pad that total. Way to go Bears for getting back on the winning side!

well, it was a fun time to be at the ball park today no doubt. Whitaker breaks a record. Graham Martin and Jonathan Ashworth exchange leads for the team RBI crown this season. Nyborg continuing to do it time and time again at the plate, and Chris Houk having a 4 RBI afternoon. Run ruling the other new member in the Southland this season...

What do you guys say it happens all over again tomorrow at 2?
I believe Cloud will take the mound for the Bears tomoorrow...

Me, my hangover, and Mrs. H will be headed to the game today. Hope to see several of you there. Warning: If there is a distinct smell of crawfish in the air, it is not us. We have both had a couple of showers apiece since coming home last night. Somebody else will be the guilty partier. :)

I'll be listening to the Bears on the internet streaming here at the office in NLR, then I'll head home to Conway to catch the Wampus Cats on local radio on that 7A title game. I decided I'm still too sleepy from staying up late eating mudbugs, I'd better not drive to Fayetteville this afternoon. Old folks like me can't stay up past dark-thirty without some kind of consequence.

The interior of the WC&PBmobile smells suspiciously like crawfish.
