Got a glimpse at the schedule today too.

Once again another all Division 1 schedule, no lower level games. Here's a break down of some of it, without getting into specifics since it hasnt been released yet:

Home Games: 26
Road Games: 30
In State Games: 29; 26 Home games + 3 home games vs. other 3 schools

1 SEC school (1 road game)
2 Big 12 school (4 road games)
1 WAC school (3 road games)
2 Missouri Valley schools (4 @ Home, 1 on Road)
2 Ohio Valley schools (4 road games)
1 Independant (3 @ Home)

Also worth noting, home and home games with 2 of the other 4 in-state D1 schools...Pigs and Tribe not included...

What? hogs not playing Bears? I'm shocked. Probably could not get out of a game with South Carolina Lower Valley Tech. Still think a UCA/ASU/UALR/UAPB basketball toruney would be a great event at Alltel...both men and women.

GoBears!!

I wouldn't be as enthusiastic about the tourney as I would playing these schools at the Farris Center or at UALR/ASU. I went to one of the ASU/UALR games at Alltel and it was well attended but still had way too many empty seats. And that was back when ASU were SBC champs and had Chico Fletcher. LR does not support any school other than the piggies to demand an Alltel event. IMO

ASU vs. UALR in Alltel drew between 9 and 11K. Stephens is too small to accomodate and I don't think Farris would hold it either.

UALR thought that a smaller arena would keep out ASU fans because of "sellouts" being announced and they were right, but they didn't get the wins they thought would come with it.

I thought you told me ASU wasn't going to play UCA anymore?

I was wrong on the A-Sun one, it is not on there this time around after the final thing is released, but the rest of the schedule looks pretty much like the one I got. The official schedule is here:
