I haven't been back since ya'll played Tech in football. I just wanted to stop by and say hi to you dedicated bear fans.

I saw that the preseason ranks had you picked low. Do you think you guys will shrug that off and finish higher?

My dawgs started hot going 6-0 then dropped a HEARTBREAKER to the little piggies in the bottom of the 9th. Then we lost to Ohio State and aTm the next two days.

Now it's looking up as we upset #11 Baylor on the road so we are at 7-3 prior to the second game @Baylor tonight.

I hope any of you coming down to Ruston have a good time.

Tech can certainly hit the ball. I listened to the Tech/Arkansas game. I think the walk-off shot may have slowed you guys up the rest of the weekend. Murphree also beat OSU on Sunday with his bat (two homers).

I'm interested to see how we do today and then against you guys. We certainly should be well prepared for conference play when we get there.

5-3 in first 8 games vs South Dakota State and Missouri State at home and then dropped two at Lubbock....hard to tell at this stage but competition better than in past years and record OK....weekend in Ruston will probably be a better gauge for understanding where they are as a team....Bulldogs look pretty solid so far...

Tonight the Bulldogs lost a one-run game to Baylor.
They tried to make a comeback in the ninth, but could only manage two runs to cut it to 7-6. Obviously these guys can play.

I'd like to steal at least just one down there in Ruston. We need to win again.

We've now completed two of our ten-game road swing.

Word I get is that La Tech may be the best team in Louisiana this year. They are really stout and it will be a very good test over the next 3 games. Just from my understanding, I'd say La Tech is the best team we will have played so far, and maybe one of the top 2-3 we play all year long...Ole Miss, Wichita State, Texas Tech, UTSA, Sam Houston, Lamar included.
