Today at 3. Tomorrow at 2.
SteveO left yesterday, so both games will be on the air.

Since Warren Nolan's site is popular around here.

we're alive and well in Murray Ky.

Bears and Thoroughbreds as mentioned today and tomorrow, 3 and 2.

The fact our RPI and SOS was high was an interesting topic of discussion last night at the dinner table.

Who's pitching today for the Bears? I saw Dunn running yesterday on campus around 3:30, I'm guessing they didn't take the whole team?

they never do on these midweek road trips. Roster and space limitations when someone like Dunn who pitched Friday, isnt going to pitch agin until the weekend. Apparently that is common, that way some of them can go to class, and it doesnt kill the budget taking players who are not going to see action.

Just got an update from Murray State:
The facility is worse than ours.
The starters are still unknown at this point, but may be Cross and Corso. More on that later.

And now confirmation that Reece is starting his first game as a Bear today.
He has four appearances so far this season but has only totalled 7 innings of work. Hopefully he can hang around for a while out there today.

I think they've set him up nicely to get his first shot.

That is pretty sad. Is CBC still playing at the fairgrounds?

Coach just said that Gatlin will get the start tomorrow.

I'm a little out of the music loop, so can someone tell me what the "Bang'em Boys" song is? I swear that's what he just said. I'm a little nervous about googling that here at work...

Not a good start for the Bears offensively. 6-up, 6-down. The last three of those were all Ks.

My live stats aren't working... Anyone else tried them? Of course I haven't missed anything yet.

Reese just got hit by a ball hit back up the middle. It doesn't sound like he's hurt.

It's been a pitchers duel through 3-1/2. Reece gave up a hit in the first, but none in the next two.

Their guy has given up three hits in the last two innings, but we've got nothing to show for it. He retired the first eight in a row before Tberry got the first hit.

After the top of the 8th, still 0-0.
Bears have left five on.
I think two of those have been runners on third!

Either both pitchers have been amazing or both team's bats have been terrible. Or both I guess.

After a single to start the 8th, Wild comes in and gives up a two-out triple that scored Cross's runner.

Reece - 7 innings, 4 hits, 1 run
And at this point, he could still be charged with the loss.

We're down to three outs with Davis, Irvin and Cline up.
Come on guys, this is just sad.
