So we've added 20 new players and the rest of the Yerby family?
13 of those are originally from Arkansas.
I thought we didn't get the kid from Shiloh that was mentioned on here earlier, but Roberts from Springdale is the same guy.

10 Freshmen
3 Sophomores
7 Juniors

Where was Barrett Ward from?

We lost these guys from last year's roster, so along with the 10 seniors, we had plenty of roster spots available:
James Parsons
Payton Seelinger
Kent Taylor
Casey Grisham
Wes Grant
Dustin Phelps
Mason Seelinger
Kyle Taylor

The current roster on ucasports lists the current maximum of 35 players.

I guess that means Dustin Ward isn't necessarily related. Thanks.

I'm going to one thing OF Casey Cooper, LHPBrandon Solberg, and RHP Shaun McPeters are def some really good ball players.

I had the opportunity to see all three of these guys play, and they all three hit ball pretty darn good! I know Solberg and McPeters won't get that opportunity much but they can sling the ball really well!

Seems to me Cooper can fling it pretty good, too.

I went by and saw the group a bit today. I'm in for a long winter trying to get to know a whole new squad and the faces that will make up the roster.

I'd say, though, there is a good chance a few young guys will get the opportunity early and often to contribute in big ways.

I saw Solberg play a few times and he has some pretty good stuff but he saw very limited action. 15 games and a 2.21 era is pretty solid but gave up 20 hits and walked 12 in 25 innings of work. 38 strikeouts and an opposing batting average of .220 is pretty good but he also hit six batters.

Who knew I could do research, or look at the last JUCO baseball stat file I did.

BS, did you find anything JUCO on Cooper? Seems like he and Adam Boucher and Luke Pruitt (yes, our kicker/punter) were slated to go to NE Texas Community College, or something like that. Now they've served their time there, I hadn't heard the results.

Actually, I'm more concerned about you finding your way to the new pressbox. That's the thing about radio, you can lie and make up stuff and we would never know the difference.
