It would have been the perfect day for baseball in Conway, but instead, Cloud was one pitch away from perfection in Nacogdoches.

The Bears won 9-0. SFA had just one hit. It came on a 1-2 pitch, and word from down south is that it was just a poke to right off the end of the bat. One pitch away from a no-hitter - sure. But one pitch away from a perfect game.

We had 14 hits and could have scored more if it wasn't for grounding into three double plays. But that's about the only negative you could find.

Oh, and Throneberry finally went hitless, although he did have another sacrifice. His last at bat, he reached on an error...

Great start to the weekend. I heard the rest of the weekend rotation may be Reece on Saturday and Solberg on Sunday.

WOW! One batter away from a perfect game. I'd imagine that is almost unheard of in the college ranks, no matter what level. My hat's off to Jeremy and the rest of the team and coaches for their fast start this year. Keep it up guys.

Is there a limit to the number of innings before it can be called a 0-0 tie?

Intentional walk bases loaded with 1 out. Go Bears!

2nd pitching change of the inning. Bears at the top of their lineup now.

Nevermind...hopefully that won't be needed now as we just scored and the bases are still loaded with only 1 out!

Usually if there is a tie it is due to the weather or darkness(no lights) and they are not able to play the next day otherwise they would resume game the next day.
