TOUGH matchup this afternoon @ 3. DBU is receiving votes for the top 25 according to this poll.

Sam Houston & Lamar are also receiving votes, Ole Miss is 22nd, and Oklahoma is 19th.

That makes no sense why they are getting votes...if that is the case then we should be as well!
According to Warrennolan.com we have an RPI of 96 while Dallas Baptist has an RPI of 197.

I'm not saying that aren't a good team, but on paper we appear to be better! :lol:

we'll have our chance on the field today...and this week with 4 games vs. teams receiving votes in the Top 25. Prove it there, who knows...

You also have to wonder how a 6-loss team is still in the top 25 this early in the season, but San Diego is on the Baseball America top 25 also. They went 1-3 against unranked San Diego State this weekend (1-5 against SDSU this season). They've split a two-game series with OU, but I have a hard time seeing how they've done enough to stay ranked.

But, back to us.
DBU has put up double figures in 7 games. They've played two teams with records that include at least 2 wins - not joking, their three weekend matchups have been against 1-6, 1-11 and 1-7 teams.

There's no shame in losing to Rice or TCU though. That's for sure.

Any idea who we're starting?

We made plans last weekend to go this weekend. Then yesterday I checked the weather... It's not looking good.

If it changes to the 60s and not rainy, we should be there Sunday. I may still try and make it alone Sunday. We'll see.

The weather was perfect last weekend when we were on the road. :cry:

Well, things are not good for us in Big D. A 5-run inning for DBU and they lead it going to the fourth 7-1.

DBU has a good baseball reputation..let's welcome them to Conway in April when they make the trip.......
