Tough, tough loss...Reece ptiched so well to lose it like that.....let's get back to it and get the series over UTA this weekend......

I hope that we can win them all against UTA, but it will be tough. They pulled the upset win over #7 Baylor last night.

Both bullpens were phenomenal last night.
One bad pitch - with two outs - was the difference in the game, and it was the ONLY baserunner that Reece allowed after retiring I think 12 in a row...

We had MORE than enough opportunities offensively; we left 10 on base, 7 of those in scoring position.

We couldn't come through with 2-out hits. And Memphis guessed correctly on the intentional walk to Yerby and by not giving Dylan Smith anything to hit. The latter resulted in the game-ending double play.

I dont think we had a hit with runners on the other night either, if we did, it might have been one. All 3 of our runs were driven in on outs. We just seemed to be snake bit right now, because the last 4-5 games the pitching has been there for the most part.

BIG series coming up this weekend vs. UTA...weather permitting the entire weekend. Apparently Saturday's game is 'Pack the House/Stadium' game according to DC. I have no idea what's planned or anything like that, if there is anything planned.

The weather certainly isn't looking good.
Does the SLC have a rule about Sunday doubleheaders? Travel curfew?
The SEC has a rule that they have to be two, 7-inning games.

I'm not sure. They dont have a curfew on Sundays other than no game can start after 4 I believe. We discussed that in the press box a bit at McNeese a few weeks back when heading into extra innings and the game was running long! As far as double headers on Sundays, I would assume you cant, but I do not know that with 100% surety.
