From GoBearkats.com...did BF101 pull these nuggets out during his broadcast?

The 22 strike outs is the most in one game by Sam Houston, breaking a 35-year old record was set in 1974 when Ron Kainer fanned 20 batters vs. Adams State.

Weatherford’s 12 strike outs ties as the third highest individual single game figure in Sam Houston history. Also striking out 12 batters in one game were Greg Kubes and Daniel Boedeker in 1997 and Ryan Baily in 1998. Jesse Marshall stuck out 13 vs. Lamar in 2005.

nope, never had a chance! They did have all the lines painted and our starting pitcher had begun to warm up in the bullpen before the rain finally hit, the tarp covered the field, and the Bearkats left town. Mother Nature was the winner on Mother's Day yesterday!

This is just how on fire their pitchers were in game #1:

Weatherford, Duguay SLC Co-Pitchers of Week

Quote:
The achievement marked the first time in modern NCAA Division I baseball history that two pitchers have record double digit strike outs in one nine-inning game. Two pitchers from Old Dominion each had double digit strike outs in a game in 2006, but it was an 18-inning contest. ODU's Jason Godin struck out 11 in eight and one third innings and Dana Arrowood added 12 more in nine and two thirds work.
