Jonathan Yerby was selected 3rd Team All-SLC, and Dillon Smith was an honorable mention OF.

In my opinion, Texas State should be in the NCAA tournament no matter what with an RPI of 33.
Does the SLC tournament winner get an automatic bid as well?

UCA was one of only 5 SLC teams to finish with a sub-.500 conference record.
Does the tournament seed just the top 8 teams, regardless of division? Or is it the top 4 teams from each division? That would determine if we are in or out this year.

9th overall
4th in the East Division

Baseball America's look at the postseason

Quote:
• Southeastern Louisiana has a solid RPI (53rd) and a 2-1 record against fellow bubble team Tulane, but the Lions took a big hit this weekend, losing their final regular-season series at Northwestern State. The Southland looks like a one-bid league, unless regular-season champ Texas State fails to win the conference tournament. The Bobcats are safe as an at-large team.

The SLC is a conference that receives an automatic bid for the tournament champion. The SLC rid themselves of division play this season in baseball, so only the top 8 go to the tournament regardless of what division they are in for the other sports.

I would think if Texas State does not win the tournament, SELA, Sam Houston, or Lamar (maybe UTSA but that might be pushing it) would need to win the tournament for the SLC to get two teams in, but who knows...
