Bears close out season with a 18-10 win to end season 22-30. Nice to end on an up beat. I think going into the season there seemed to be lots of questions given we lost some serious hitting to graduation last year. Records are not everything and this year had its ups and downs. For one thing, Bears were 3-7 in one run games. Turn that around and they are 26-26. Thanks to all members of the team .

By my count , we were actually 3-11 in 1 run games, and didnt win one after March 4 v. Missouri State. That's what made this season so frustrating for all involved, the 1 and 2 run losses and all the extra inning losses! The Team BA was up over the 2008 stats (2008-.287, 2009-.309), our Team ERA was actually lower by .03, so it did not get any worse.

We did have more freshmen step up this year and play big roles, in the field, at the plate, and on the mound. Next year the schedule gets even tougher, but we will have 30 home games once again as far as I know. Recruiting is going well and the future looks bright! \:D/
