I've also heard rumors of Wichita State, Missouri State, Memphis and UAPB...but no confirmation yet.

Wes Johnson is the new assistant coach for the Bears, however. He helped out 2 seasons ago during the 2008 season.

Are talking about those programs coming to Conway? That would be awesome...OK, well Wichita State would be awesome and I like playing MO State and Memphis...I can do without UAPB.

I cant foresee Wichita State coming to Conway...yet at least, but the other 3 have already come to Conway.

I don't think we are quite at the level to be able to sign/demand home-and-homes with the Wichita States, OUs, Kansas States or Texas Techs of the world just yet...(a few of the programs we have faced the last 3 years.) But I don't see why regional schools/programs such as SEMO, La. Tech, La. Monroe and others like that in a general decent traveling area can't be made into home-and-home series frequently. I'd bring up Ualr, or stAte, but no use in doing that right now at all.

But I do know it has been somewhat difficult being able to get home games, and not spending entire months on the road like we did in March of 2008. Luckily, now that they are postseason eligible, it should help out some in the scheduling department in the future.

I think the Ole Miss game got bumped for this year do to some scheduling conflicts by Ole Miss. Not for sure though

looks like we added a game with Henderson St on March 16 and with Lyon on March 30 after losing an Ole Miss date which was sometime in April I believe, and the SIUE series that was supposed to open the season at home seems to be missing too. So they must have been scrambling. I havent talked to the coaches about the schedule since July. Other than that, it looks like the way we thought it would. All in all, it looks like a good schedule for a program primed for a postseason run!

(according to Doug at the baseball tournament this weekend)...

We now open the season at home February 19-21 hosting So. Illinois Edwardsville on Friday, then host Creighton on Saturday, and finish with SIUE on Sunday. Crieghton will play a DH on that Saturday, 1 game vs. UCA, 1 game vs. SIUE.

I have not seen this on paper yet, but that is what I was told. So who knows...
