I have still yet to attend a UCA baseball game ever therefore I promise I will make it to at least one baseball game this year.

Creighton wins 3-2 as Bobby Pritchett is thrown out at home for final out while trying to score from 2nd on single to RF...Michael Wild pitched 7+ strong innings and gave up just 2 runs both in 2nd inning....

Bears now 1-1

Creighton 3-4-0
UCA 2-8-0

The Bears have looked good in the first two games. If they play this way all season, they will be playing in the SLC tourney at the end of the season. Hope the rain holds off today as I am hoping to see Ariola throw.

Saturday's game ended in a very dramatic fashion as both dugouts spilled out on the final play of the game in reaction to Creighton's catcher shoving Pritchett from behind. It was good to see this team have the opportunity to show they have each other's back this early in the season.

Apparently, earlier in the day, Creighton defeated SIU-E 22-0! Good to hear that the Bears are fighting hard!

Yeah what a punk-ass move that was. It's baseball, you're a catcher, you should know that somebody running into you is just a good, hard-nosed baseball play. Yelling at the guy and shoving him from behind is not a good, hard-nosed baseball play. It's being a bitch. Shoving anybody in the back is weak to begin with, but I guess when you're only 6'2, 200+ lbs. and wearing catcher's gear you need every advantage you can get when going after a guy generously listed at 5'9, 165.

It was good to see the guys out there in a hurry ready to split some skulls, I'm just disappointed it got broken up. I don't necessarily condone fighting (all the time), but sometimes people just need a good asskicking. Scott Thornburg is one of those people.
