Lost 2-0 today.
Phenomenal performance by Wild today on the mound. He did make one big mistake, a bad pickoff attempt that eventually led to the first run of the game. And unfortunately, the SFA staff was even better. The offense really struggled with only three hits.

The good news is that our bullpen should be well rested for the rest of the weekend and that Wild rebounded well after getting shellacked last weekend. The bad news is that our bats have really gone into a slump the last few games.

I will take complete game , 10 K and 2 ERA pitching every day...bats got to get going....

It was actually just one earned run I think.
Today was the complete opposite though. Awful pitching on both sides. The Bears were able to get a 7-2 lead only to lose 20-12. We gave up TWENTY-FIVE hits!

I heard coach say in the pre-game interview that we have to get the hitting and pitching to show up on the same day. And once again, it didn't.

Hoping to make it out to tomorrow's game.

I was at that game..where were the FANS? It was yet again freezing! I left in the early innings, so did a few others. Never imagined it would get that high scoring.

25 hits ...wow.... maybe warmer on Sunday and and Bears get on track....

Actually, SFA is still batting in the top of the 5th.

We've been outhit 12-1 --- on a Sunday --- against what should be their worst starter.

Ward and Cross continue to really struggle.

I got 4 years eligibility left. I use to pitch in the minor leagues (6-9 year olds). Not much speed but good control. Arm is fresh. I'm ready!

Watching the game on Saturday, I would have sworn SFA knew what was coming on every pitch. They take some aggressive hacks. I was surprised that none of the Bear pitchers took offense at any point and "moved" the Lumberjacks off the plate. Saturday and Sunday's games really make the game Michael Wild pitched on Friday look even better. Hopefully the team will fare better in Beaumont this weekend.

You and me both. This past week was not a banner week for UCA baseball. Luckily last week is over with and this week is a new week, starting tomorrow night vs. La.Tech (8-8) at 6:30! The Bulldogs have lost their last 6 in a row and were swept by New Mexico 4 games this past weekend. They have split a pair of games vs Baylor and took 2 of 3 from McNeese St. earlier this season. La.Tech is wrapping up a 10 game road trip that spanned from Waco, TX, to Edinburg, TX (Mexico basically), to Albuquerque, NM, now to Conway.
