According to BF, last week was suppose to be the beginning of the "easy" part of our conference schedule. If that's true then we have a looooong way to go before we can say we have a decent ball club - not good - just decent.

On Friday night, Bobby threw the ball as well as any 1 of our pitchers since we have moved up to D1, other than MAYBE Jeremy Cloud's near perfect game last season at SFA. Unbelievable control, he went right after Michael Choice, even the walk in the 1st wasnt intentional. He told me before he game he wasnt going to let Choice get a hit off of him, and he backed it up in a big way. Its a shame he didnt get the result he deserved. Saturday we were basically out of it from the start, although Jeremy Brewer did pretty well out of the pen saving the arms out there. Yesterday, I was pleased to see we at least didnt quit and nearly pulled off an improbable comeback, but it was still a loss in a series of 3 that led to a weekend sweep.

It was good to see former Bears Josh Huffman and Dillon Smith, and their families there this weekend. More than a few UCA fans and family were there with the players we have from the DFW area, and even a signee from the area was at yesterdays game with his parents too. There may have been more, but I missed them, as far as former Bears go in attendance.
