SEMO comes to Conway this week. They bring a 24-14 record including a wins over Auburn, Saint Louis, Missouri State and a split with Arkansas State. SEMO outhits opponents .355 to .284 and leads in HRs by 56/39. SEMO pitchers ERA at 5.94 vs opponents at 7.62 and have a K/BB ratio of 260/157.

Bears hold on and win Tuesday's game 8-7 even though they were outhit 16-13.
And they did it with only one extra-base hit.

Andy Fox was 1 for 3 with only UCA extra base hit (2B)

SEMO may be the best hitting team I've seen all season long, may be, definitely up there in the discussion. Their numbers are up there, although I'm sure they may not play the best competition game in and game out, it's still hitting the baseball, and they do it well.

Nice win for us, A) because it was a win, and B ) the offense woke up a bit and nearly matched them hits wise, and managed to outscore them. SEMO hit 2 HRs but we managed to do it just making solid contact, moving runners along and getting hits when we needed them.

On to today, we've split the last 2 times we've played them...here's hoping to buck that trend this afternoon.

the wind blew out yesterday at the yard, thats for sure. It almost seemed like the entire 2010 season to this point was wound tightly in one 9 inning. Oh well, on to this very wet weekend...
