How much of a scholarship does UCA usually offer? If someone qualified for the 5000 lottery scholarship. Does anyone know what the rest of the bill would be?
For example room/board and tuition fees.

Full time plus room and board and books is around 12,000 per year.

I certainly don't know for sure, but what's 11.7 divided by 30?
(Answer: .39)

If you're really good you may get more than that. If you're not really good you may get less.

Was offered more than .39 by out of state schools. But I guess with the Lottery scholarship it would almost balance itself out. Thanks for the information though.

Again, I have absolutely no idea how they choose to break up the allotment. I didn't know with the old staff, and I definitely don't know with the new. I just know that the max they can have receiving money is 30. And they only have 11.7 scholarships. If you have a kid that's being recruited, I'm sure you already know all of that though.

I'd say that there's never been a better time to come play at UCA though. (Of course, I'm well-known as an optimist.)

What type of other scholarships does UCA offer? Does anyone that went to UCA know what you need to qualify for an academic scholarship?

I sure am glad that's not how it was all structured when I was in school.

Even if you score a 36 on your ACT you don't get a full ride now? Is that seriously how it works everywhere else?

To answer what I'm sure is the question everyone's thinking. Yes, I am an incredibly smart guy. Thanks. No, I didn't come even close to a 36 on my ACT.

The only 2 things I ever had a 36 on, was my ERA and my bowling average.
Just glad my kids ERA is not as high as mine was. Needless to say I was not recruited by UCA.
But I WAS recruited by the military so I guess it all worked itself out. LOL!!

I saw Coach Johnson this evening at the Arkansas showcase at Baum. Super nice guy. I also learned something that I did not know about the ACT score. It seems they use something called Super Scores. In other words if you take the test 4 times for example.

They would take your highest score for English, the highest score for math. the highest score from Reading and the highest score from science.

Regardless of which test it happened on. Your English scores might be 21, 23, 17, 26
Science might be 17, 23, 25, 16 Reading might be 18, 25, 31, 26 Math might be 21, 24, 17, 18.

Your act would be based on
Eng: 26
Science 25
Reading: 31
Math: 24

Then they would add those scores together and divide by 4 and that is what Ark would count as your ACT score.

Does UCA do that?

Hope this is not to confusing.
