Looks like it's leaning way bad to the left to me. Drainage should not be a problem.

Need to find a GOP donor so we get that drainage to balance it toward the right.

I can't remember any GOP professors on campus.

I agree. The new logo has really started to grow on me.

BTW a few of other tidbits:

* our (UCA) bullpen will not be moved into the field of play, it has been turfed (with the new logo as well) and will remain where it has been located.

* foundation had been poured along right field line for the retaining wall which should be about 4 or 5 feet high.

* former assistant coach Ryan Johnson will be constructing/building the pitchers mound this weekend.

* BOTH foul poles will have to be relocated a few feet over from where they are currently due to the new configuration of the foul lines.

I was going to ask if home plate was moved farther out from the backstop.
That logo on the turf looks mighty big.

I stopped by there tonight. That logo is HUGE! It's hard to tell if home is further from the backstop.
This is what I viewed when standing behind the logo near the back wall.

1.) The lack of artificial narrow "dirt" lanes from home to first and from third to home gives it the illusion of being further away from the backstop. Open green area creates a "large space" view. May be an illusion, who knows.

2.) the giant logo taking up all the space behind the homeplate...gives the illusion the plate is "pushed" up further away from the backwall. I just don't know.

3.) The new angle of the field due to the new "foul" area walls change the perception of "out" (the foul flags and poles are off now) so there appears to be more space behind homeplate.

4.) Dugouts appear to be further away due to being umm...dug out underground..thus providing more visual space, or so it appears.

Honestly, it's tuff to tell until all the construction gets done.

Home plate was moved back around 5'. The foul/fair pole will need to be moved also.

The plate looks further but it's actually closer.
