The Bears beat Oklahoma Panhandle State today 2-0. I think today was one of the best attendance days the Bears have had in a really long time. Hopefully that can keep up the rest of the season. UCA plays again tomarrow @ 12:00 against OPSU!

If anyone of you guys get the chance to go see Andy Jackson pitch for the Bears do it b/c he is a STUD!! He had 3 major league scouts looking at him today from the Mets, Cardinals, and Marlins. He has a very good curve ball and was hittingin the upper 80's on his fastball. And the best thing is he is a LEFTY!!!

If I remember correctly from looking at the article in the Echo from two weeks ago, he's the ONLY lefty on the team. That could be a problem down the road (specifically speaking about next year).

ASU has 6 lefties on their online roster.
UALR - 3
UAF - 5

GREAT start to the new year. This schedule is going to be tough throughout the year. The good thing about the GSC in football and baseball, you are playing in one of the toughest in D2 so at least it helps us a little bit when we move up to have to compete on our conference level.

The UCA Bears completed the 4 game sweep of Oklahoma Panhandle State on Sunday, winning 13-7.

The Bears are now 4-0 on the season and will be a three game series with St. Edwards starting on Friday Feb. 10 in Austin, Texas

I'm back!!! After a long hiatus, I have returned....for baseball season. I love bear basketball but I just had to take a break. I just now am coming out of the funk I was put in from the UNA football game, or maybe I just got my voice back. However, I'm stoked about baseball season and though my schedule is very busy I plan on making it to at least two home conference series this season. As a former DiamondBear (not the beer, though that should be the official beer of Bear Baseball) I wish the guys all the luck this year. Keep your shoes shiny and your pants dirty. Chicks dig the long ball.......and relief pitchers if I don't mind saying so. Go Bears!! Congrats on the opening series and stay focused.
