We should get back on track with the 4 game series against the Sycamores of the MVC. We need to get momentum before fellow MVC member Creighton comes to town.

No walks (1hbp) for Cox, but he gave up 10 hits in 6-1/3.
We were no hit in the first, second, fourth, fifth, sixth, and ninth innings.
We were able to score some runs when we did string some runners/hits together.

It looked to me like the home plate umpire gave him pretty wide leeway ont he outside cornner but still he pitched really well....we finally hit him pretty good in the late innings on occasions but just long fly ball outs....

Game 2

ISU 5 UCA 2

Bats really struggling right now. Good pitching performance by McKinzie out of the pen. Struck out 3 in 2 innings with only 1 hit.

BEARS TAKE DOWN SYCAMORES 6-5
3/6/2011 4:37:21 PM

CONWAY, Ark. _ The University of Central Arkansas Bears found their offense Sunday in taking a 6-5 victory over the Indiana State Sycamores in the series finale at Bear Stadium.

UCA (7-5) pounded out 13 hits against five ISU pitchers, with sophomore right fielder Ethan Harris going 3 for 5 in the leadoff spot. Harris had 2 RBI and scored 2 runs as the Bears came back from a 2-1 deficit after three innings.

The Bears put across four runs in the fourth inning and never trailed again. Freshman second baseman Jonathan Davis started the rally with an infield single and then stole second. Harris doubled to right field to score Davis before Michael Pair was hit by a pitch. Senior first baseman Jonathan Houston doubled to the gap in right center to score two more runs...
