Cardinals take Game 1....
LU 7-11-0 UCA 1- 2-0
Excellent pitching by Lamar....starter goes 7 and reliever throws two perfect innings....
Evan Cox went 4 for UCA giving up 5 runs in 5 hits with 3KOs and 3BBs... a committee finished up....
Bears get hits only from the two Jonathan's...Davis a triple in 7th and Houston a HR in 4th....
Lamar now 15-6/4-0 and UCA drops to 8-10/0-4.....
Game 2 at 4pm on Saturday.....

Bears get to dogpile in Game 2
LU 7-10-0 UCA 8-7-0
Doug Votolato hit a pinch hit single to RF with two outs in the bottom of 9th to score Jonathan Davis from 2nd to secure the Bear's first SLC game of the season.
Davis went 2 for 3 with 2 runs and 2 RBIs. Michael Pair had 2 RBIs. Travis Snider smacked a HR.
Four Bears' hurlers combined for 15 KOs. Angus started and went 4.1 giving up 4 runs and Steinmetz pitched four scoreless innings in relief and Blake Payne gets the win.
Bears led 4-0 in 4th but LU scored 7 in 5th to lead 7-4 until bottom of 7th when UCA tied game at 7-7.
Bears snap five game losing streak and move to 9-10/1-4 as LU drops to 15-7/4-1.
Game 3 at 1pm on Sunday.

Game 3
LU wins 15-5
LU 15-19-2 UCA 5-7-1
Jonathan Davis leads Bears with 3 for 4,2 runs scored, 2 RBIs and his 2nd HR.
Cardinals go 19 for 41..... led 9-2 after 3rd.
Both teams pitched by committee today.
LU now 16-7/5-1 and UCA drops to 9-11/1-5.
Next game is Tuesday (6pm) and Wednsday (4pm) at Missouri in Columbia.
