Bears fall in a close one to a VERY good SELA team, 6-5.

Game 1

SELA 6-9-4
UCA 5-11-2 (13 LOB!!)

UCA pitching:

Ethan Cox 7.0 6 runs, 4 hits, 4 Kos, 4 BBs
Andy Steinmetz 2.0 2/0/1/1

UCA hittiing:

Jake Fuller 3-5, 1 run, 1 RBI
Ethan Harris 2-4 1 run

SELA goes to 15-7/5-2 and Bears drop to 10-13/1-6

Tough loss...leaving 13 on base is a killer especially with 11 hits......Lions are very good with wins this over Tulane, Alabama, Central Florida, UL-Lafayette and a sweep of UTSA....

Game 2 at 4pm Saturday....keep plugging away....

Left 'em loaded in the second after jumping out to a 3-0 lead in the first.

We had a great two-out rally in the 7th, but after the second inning we struggled to get the leadoff man on. Small ball isn't too effective if there's nobody on base to sacrifice over.

Congrats to Bears on winning Games 2 and 3.....bats got going..and fielding improved....nice pitching effort today by Ward with 5 innings and 1 run...Harris, Houston and Dickson all had two hits....Houston and Fuller each had 3 RBIs......

I don't care if we win a lot in a row. I just want to make sure we keep winning two of three on the weekends. Everything outside of that is gravy.
