Bears go to 5-0 on the season with an 8-7 victory over St. Edward's in Austin, TX.

Sophomore pitcher Matt Whitaker (2-0) struck out 10 batters for the 2nd time this season. He also gave up 10 hits, six earned runs and walked three in 8.2 innings.

The Bears and Hilltoppers will continue their series with a nine inning game on Saturday.

Giving up seven runs is never good, but scoring eight is a positive I guess.

To me, the most impressive thing about last week was that the first three games they only gave up two runs.

Whitaker pitched game three last weekend. Anyone know what the starting roation might be (for the weekends of course)?

Possibly??
Friday - Whitaker
Saturday - Barnett
Sunday - Jackson

From what Coach Clark has told me is that most likely the rotation is going to be Jackson, Barnett, Whitaker when conference starts. Now as far this weekend I bet we see Jackson pitch today and Barnett tomorrow, but you never know what Clark may have up his sleeve.

will that game be on the radio or internet?

Hey Burly if you drove the mules to catch the Lane bus from Jackson, TN, you could ride it in from Bucksnort to catch the game!
