The Bears find themselves playing in the middle of the pack of the SLC (which is a great change from years past!) This weekend's opponent, UT-Arlington, is a team the Bears have never beaten before, granted, we've only played them 6 times the last 2 years (0-6).

The Mavs come in 10-8 in SLC play 2 games up on the Bears who are 8-10. UTA took 2 of 3 from McNeese last weekend, but they still have SFA, Texas State, and Lamar to play before the end of the season, too.

Game times are Thursday at 6, Friday at 6, and Saturday at 1 pm. This is also the next to last home games for the Bears this season, so it would be really nice to get some good and vocal crowds out to the ballpark since there are only 6 home games left in the season, in which the last 3 wont even be until May 13-15.

Bears fought back t lead 14-12 after 8th but gave up 6 in 9th.....Ryan Angus started and gave up 8R on 9HH in 4 IP....Evan Cox in relief in 9th gets one out but gives up 6R on 5H...

Davis, Willson, Pair, Dickson, Fuller and Noble each collect 2 hits....Ethan Harris goes 4-4

Ugh....but it gets better....


Game 2 --- Dustin Ward goes 8 innings and gives up 6 hits and one run...Blake Payne closes with shutout in 9th...

Jonathan Davis, Bryan Willson, Jordan Gethcell and Travis Snider each tally 2 hits...Davis also steals two bases and hhomers...Snider adds a HR also.......

Need to win Game 3 for sure....big logjam for the 8th spot....
