Its another midweek roadie for the Bears the next 2 games. This is the start of an 11 game road trip for UCA (10-10) and the end of an 18 game home stand for Mizzou (14-8). Gametimes at Taylor Stadium are 6 pm tonight (Tuesday) and 1 pm on Wednesday. Pregame on The Bear 91.3 and UCAsports.com will begin 20 minutes prior to first pitch. Bears split here in columbia last year, losing 11-4 in game 1, and winning the finale 9-3 to win their 1st game ever vs. a Big12 team.

McKinzie pitched well out of the pen. 6IP, 6K, 7H, 4R, 2ER. Bears had a 7-4 lead when he exited. Defense let him down a couple of times as really should have only allowed 1 run. To his credit he battled through some untimely errors in the field and gave UCA a chance to win it. Probably would have finished it off had he not already thrown 100+ pitches.

I lost the radio signal right after the first batter of the 8th was hit by the pitch from Blake Payne. Not sure what happened after that other than the score. They can come back and split the series today. These guys have shown resiliency after tough losses before.

Sure would have been nice to the the W yesterday too after leading (by a lot) after 7.
Weekends are what are important though. UTA is 3-6. We need to win this road series.
