Bears @ Texas St. 4/20-22

Alright, we're on the road this weekend. The Bears play Texas State for 3 at a yard we've never won at, or even been very competitive in, truth be told. Game time tonight is 6:30 pm, Saturday at 2 pm, and Sunday at 1 pm. All 3 games can be heard live on The Bear 91.3 and UCAsports.com beginning 20 minutes prior to 1st pitch.

UCA enters with a SLC record of 10-8, Texas State is 8-10. TSU-SM was picked in the preseason to win the league (again), we were obviously picked to finish dead last. Winning a series here would be big, to say the least. Here's hoping we stay hot in SLC play!

TSU 5-10-1

Now 10-9 in SLC play....within reach but just could not hold to the lead....

McClanahan was pretty dominate today, another CG. But our bats couldnt push across the tying/go ahead runs for him in the late innings for the 2nd straight game, and Bears drop game two, 2-1. We out hit hit the Bobcats 8-4, out pitched them, but just can not get the guys in when we have the chances.

McClanahan, 8 IP 2 ER, 4 H, 3 K, only 1 BB, and he retired the last 9 men he faced, and 17 of the last 18. Tough loss for him, and the team today. Series finale is at 1 tomorrow. Ryan Angus gets the ball for the Bears. The Bears and TSU now have matching 10-10 SLC records.

Tough loss...great pitching performance....be nice to leave San Marcos with a win tomorrow.

got swept, life goes on, we're still firmly in the middle of the pack in the SLC... UTSA at home next week! We owe em since they knocked us out of tournament contention last year in the last weekend of the season.
