Alright, the Bears finish up their 6 game homestand with a 3 game series in 24 hours v. the Northwestern State Demons. Game times this weekend are switched up due to both school's graduations. There's no game tonight (Friday), then the game Saturday will begin at 7 pm, and there's a double header on Sunday that begins at 1 pm. All 3 games will be aired as usual with pregame beginning 20 minutes before 1st pitch.

As we enter this weekend the Bears enter the SLC race T-5th with a 12-12 record. They enter tied with McNeese, so I guess technically we are 6th as we enter. Northwestern State lost the final 2 games at home vs. SLU last weekend, and enter with 11-13, tied with SFA (who we play @ next week) 1 game behind the Bears. To say this weekend is big in the race to the Top 8 would be an understatement. Hope you guys can make it out and support after graduation Saturday night and Sunday afternoon!

The series win means the Bears have won all 5 SLC series at home this season (to this point), which hasnt been done before this season.

The Bears have 14 SLC wins now (most SLC wins since moving up to D1). Theyre in 5th place with a 14-13 record. Again, an above .500 record for the 1st time since moving up in to the SLC, and the higest we've ever been up in the standings to my knowledge past the 1st or maybe 2nd weekend of SLC play.

The Bears play in Dickey-Stephens Park on Tuesday night vs. UALR at 7 pm. That'll be the 2nd game of the day. stAte-Uapb play at 3 pm. So that's a cool idea, 4 of the 5 D1 in-state institutions actually playing one another in the same place on the same day. Then the Bears come home Wednesday afternoon for their only mid-week home games. They play 2 vs. Mississippi Valley St. at 1 pm.

I was traveling with only limited i-net access....big series win.....been nice to sweep and be 3 over 500 but take the series win .....hope they can best UALR tonight then have another good weekend....get to the tourney and you just never know what can happen....
