I think that is a fair way to put it....if we could get lucky and either Delta or OBU sweep their opponents or get swept by their opponents, that would be ok too. I have been going over the math in my head (which is quite dangerous to begin with) I think it is possible for us to take 2 out of 3 in all the remaining series and still not make the tournament if one or two other teams sweep a series along the way. If anyone wants to correct my math, feel free to do so, my math is not and never has been anywhere close to 100% accurate.

UCA has UAM, Arkansas Tech, Southern Arkansas, and Henderson St. Now with that said the bears have not been reall good at sweeping teams within the conference. So I'm going to out on a limb and say this

UCA sweeps UAM
UCA takes 2 of 3 from ATU (Remember though UCA got swept last year)
UCA takes 2 of 3 from SAU
UCA takes 1 of 3 from HSU

UCA will play ATU and SAU at home

Now I hope I'm wrong about the Henderson St game but if you go off of last year HSU is about as good as what they were last year and UCA only won one game.

Here is a list of the rest of the schools in the conference and who they finish the last four series with.

ATU: SAU, DSU, UCA, HSU
UAM: UCA, OBU, HU, DSU
CBU: OBU, HU, DSU, SAU
DSU: HU, ATU, CBU, UAM
HU: DSU, CBU, UAM, OBU
HSU: SAU, OBU, ATU, UCA
OBU: CBU, UAM, HSU, HU
SAU: ATU, HSU, UCA, CBU

The Bears took control of the Boll Weevils in the 3rd inning putting up 7 runs. The Bears swept UAM by winning game 1: 5-2, Game 2: 10-2, and Game 3: 7-4

The next conference oppenent to be in 2 weeks vs. Arkansas Tech

This sweep was critical for the Bears in my opinion! Great job this weekend Bears

after our weekend sweep and smashing of the cotton bugs, UCA has moved into 3rd place in the GSC West.

Delta (10-2) and OBU (9-3) are 1-2 respectively. After that the records in the West show as follows:

UCA 9 - 6 .600 (23-12 overall)
SAU 8 - 6 .571
HSU 6 - 5 .545
CBU 8 - 7 .533
UAM 4 - 10 .286
tech 3 - 9 .250
Harding 2 - 10 .167

We have tech, SAU and Henderson left this season.

as you see, we are still pretty close with CBU, SAU and Henderson, good for us we won the CBU series and still have SAU and Henderson to play head to head and can deal with them as they come.

Big weekend this weekend against the wonder kids from russellville tech. I would love to see a SWEEP in that series as well for a number of reasons. 1) it's the last time we face them, might as well send them on their way in style. 2) they are sitting in at next to last place, might as well not let them off the mat. 3) apparently we got swept by them last year, might as well administer some payback while we are at the park.

Good point, but the Bears won't take on the Wonder Kids until next weekend not this one. UCA is has an open weekend and the only game they will play is against Crichton on Wednesday

Also to add to that, it wont be your normal sat. sun. series, instead it will be a fri. sat. series.
