Caudle goes a solid 8.1 and Stich closes up nicely.....another fine pitching perfoomance..the bats may be coming alive.....Go Bears!!

Top of 5th: Bears jump out to early 9-3 lead.....Caudle rocking along pretty well on the mound.....ferrell 2/3 with 2 rbis plus Deckard and Townsend each have 2 rbis....

Great job...superb pitching the entire series.....will need that at NWS next week......Demons swept by Islanders this weekend and are now 10-8 (they play two in Fayetteville this week) ....now hoping for a couple wins vs A-State and UALR Tue/Wed..

Yes, Bears were 9-8 in SLC before today ..just a typo on my part...now 10-8/21-15....

Looks like Bears are tied for 4th with SHS, NWS and MSU.....TAMCC and Nicholls are tied for 1st at 12-6.....

Two fun midweek games this week.

Got a gripe... not much of one but still frustrating to watch during the games.

On 3 occasions this year at home games I have watched a fly ball deep in the outfield get missed because the players complained about the sun....

that's not a bad thing....


but the players had sunglasses on their hats, but not on their faces.

Last game the missed ball led to two runs scored not long after.

This is frustrating to watch. The kids aren't meant to be perfect, but if you're in the outfield looking at the sun most of the game, shouldn't you expect to wear sunglasses you brought out on the field?

Like I said, no big deal. The kids are trying. But it seems common sense isn't used in this case.

It may make you feel little better that MLB All-Star Jason Werth missed two very catchable fly balls this past weekend......on the other hand, why are the shades not used in sunny weather?

I think a lot of kids these days use them for a fashion statement more than anything

I always found that using the glove was a much better way of shielding the sun. I didn't like wearing shades in the field b/c I didn't like wearing them at bat and there is an adjustment period for your eyes when you take them off.
