2/22/14 FINAL

UCA 17-16-3 (3-3)
NJT 7-9-2 (0-1)

Rough start but what a finish.....3 hits for Deckard....2 hits each by Rogeau, Townsend, Langley, Treece and Anderson....7 extra base hits...Langley had 4 rbis....

Starter McClain gets roughed up in 3.2 innings giving up 7 hits and 5 BBs....Echols pitched really well in 4.1 innings of shutout middle relief for the win...Rand polished off the 9th....

3 erros and 8 BBs need to be cleaned up...but a great day at the plate and solid relief pitching...good comeback win...

Same team, same time on Sunday...Go Bears!!


NJT lost to ACU 10-1 in the afternoon game...

UCA facing NJIT again right now. We just tied it up at 5 in the bottom of the 9th with two outs and one on base.

2/23/14 FINAL

NJT 7-13-2 in 10 (1-3)
UCA 5-9-3 (3-4)

NJT had 14 LOB and UCA 15.....ugh....

Bears led 2-1 after 5 with Gilmour pitchng then fell behind 5-2 then had to catch yo in bottom of 9 to force extra...Zimmerle pitched mid relief for Bears.... Gilmour gave up 3 runs on 5 hits and 5 BBs and 106 pitches in 5.2........Votolato only Bear with more than one hiit....

Could have used a win today...now back home for 3 vs Illinois State next weekend and two the following Tue/Wed vs UTM...

ACU came from behind to nip NJT 6-5 in the finale.

I thought we play Illinois State in 4 games this weekend. Is there no double-header on Saturday?

Looks like we have a schedule change. We play North Dakota at 3:00 today. Then again at 11:00 tomorrow. Also we play Illinois St. at 5:30 on Saturday as well and again Sunday at 12:00.

Votolato and Langley each had two hits ...Langley had 3 rbis...ISU gave us four HBP runners....Bears still had 9 LOB....

Caudle pitches a 3-hit shut out with 8 Ks,3 BBs, 1 HBP and 119 pitches...great early outing....

Take on ISU at noon Sunday in the weekend finale....
