As easy as it was at first to think doom and gloom at being swept by a team that was unimpressive in the W-L columns I have to try and think long term. Teams have bad days, even bad weekends. I've heard numerous college coaches and MLB managers say that you can win a ton of games and never record a sweep. Winning every series 2-1 (while not feasible) will make for an impressive record. As much as all of us would've loved another sweep or even to salvage a win yesterday our record reflects as if we've won 3 series by a count of 2 games to 1. That is the benefit of sweeping teams that are in the bottom of the conference. It gives us leeway in the event we lose a series. Averaging 2-1 series wins throughout the season would give us a 20-10 final conf record. I think I can handle that. Gotta turn it around this weekend though!
