Some of us may remember Romo as our kickoff specialist in 2016 season...he then walked on at Tulsa and was one of the leading kickoff specialists in the AAC but then transferred to Virginia Tech.......Tulsa native but apparently lives in Atlanta area....

This past weekend in a 26-17 win over Georgia Tech he was 2/2 on PATs and 4/4 FGs (21,23,34,43)....14 of Hokies 26.....


2021: Has hit all three of his field goal tries of 40+ yards this season ... Has totaled 33 kickoffs with 23 touchbacks in 2021 ... Made a 48-yard field goal vs. North Carolina (9/3) for his first career field goal in a Tech uniform ... Totaled six kickoffs for a 63.8-yard average vs. Middle Tennessee State (9/11) ... Had a 65-yard average on four kickoffs at West Virginia (9/18) ... Recorded a touchback on all four kickoffs vs. Richmond (9/25) ... Made all three field goal attempts including a career-long 52-yard field goal vs. Notre Dame (10/9). Also kicked off six times and recorded five touchbacks ... Went two-for-two on field goals including hitting on a 48-yard attempt vs. Syracuse (10/23).

2020: Handled the kickoff duties in all 11 games … Kicked off 55 times with 35 touchbacks … Produced an average of 62.7 yards per attempt.

2019: Served as Tech’s kickoff specialist in all 13 games … Boomed 69 kickoffs with 46 touchbacks and an average of 64.1 yards ... Had six touchbacks in a game on three different occasions vs. Rhode Island (10/12), vs. North Carolina (10/19) and at Virginia (11/29) ... Subbed for an injured P Oscar Bradburn at Notre Dame (11/2), hitting eight punts for 354 yards (44.3 avg.) with a long of 58 and two inside of the 20.
